American Girl

There couldn't have been a nicer way to start off my day and week than with the email below from my dear cousin, Olivia. Not only did it touch my sentimental side, but it also made me realize how strogly I hope my daughter turns out as terrific as Olivia.
"I know from reading your blog that you probably have enough stuff for the baby already, but I was just wondering about something. See, I have this American Girl doll from when I was younger and she's sitting in the garage waiting for some new little girl to play with her. Sooo, what do you think? Do you want it for your baby? I used to be soo in love with changing her clothes, and doing her hair, and playing house with her, that I think your baby girl would love it too. I don't know how old she would be when she starts to play with it but it was just a thought. So if you want it, tell me and I'll pack it up (and all of her supplies and accessories) and ship it over to you!"
Thank you, Olivia, for making my day and for being the kind of thoughtful person I know my daughter will look up to! I know that Baby G. will love the doll as much as you did
maybe even a little bit more because it is a gift from you.
