Emma update

Emma is growing so fast. Here are some of the things she's learned to do in the last few weeks:
  • grasp her toys (not just a reflex anymore)
  • pull her pacifier out of her mouth (can't get it back in yet)
  • make cute baby cooing noises
  • express her frustration with a new cry, accompanied by kicking her legs
  • eat rice cereal (kind of -- more like tolerate it)
  • pull herself up to a sitting position (when partially reclined, like in her car seat or swing)
  • put weight on her legs
  • laugh (daily!)
  • turn herself upside down
  • sleep without being swaddled
  • touch/play with her toes
Other milestones:
  • she's wearing size 3 diapers (as soon as the 2-3's run out)
  • she moved on to faster flow nipples (level 2)
  • she's graduated to 3-6 month pacifiers
(I know, I know. This isn't all that interesting if you're not her mom. But don't forget that this blog is a record for me to look back on someday, not just for your entertainment.)

No swaddle:
(Yes, Abby. That's a regular old blanket in her crib!)

I am not her mom, and still excited about all these (boring?!) milestones! Go Emma!!!

I love the picture of her sleeping. Connor sleeps with his arms up like that too and I think it is so cute.

I am so impressed with Emma's smarts! And flexibility with the toe thing too! Glad blankets no longer pose a major hazard!
