Shots suck

Emma had her two months doctor's visit today, during which she received five vaccinations, one of which was oral. The four others, of course, were administered as shots in either thigh. I had never heard her wail like she did today. Not even when she was in the hospital. I cried too, of course. Poor little baby. Thankfully the wailing turned into crying rather quickly and by the time we got home she was just whimpering. Now she's finally asleep. Oh boy, I can't wait to go back for another round in two more months. It's all for her own good, right?

Other than being traumatized from the shots, all is well with Emma. She's a whopping 14 pounds, 2 ounces, which is actually off the weight charts. (Yikes!) She measured in at 23 1/4 inches which puts her in the 79th percentile height-wise. She's right on target as far as all her other milestones go. And the doctor says she seems happy and is very cute too. (Duh.)

I'm sure you (and Emma) were very brave! I can't believe she is 2 months old already!

It seems like she was JUST born. If she grows up to be a giant, I have the perfect husband over here...

Yay Emma and Mommy for toughing out the shots. Happy and healthy baby - just what we ordered (with an extra helping of cuteness).
