Baby top 10 lists

Things I will miss about being pregnant:

1. Feeling the baby move
2. Having the baby with me at all times
3. Andrew reading to my belly
4. Frequent foot rubs
5. Having an excuse to eat ice cream for breakfast
6. Not worrying too much about gaining weight
7. Feeling “special”
8. Baby planning, research, and baby-related lists
9. Nice comments from random people
10. Getting a seat on the T (sometimes)

Things I will not miss about being pregnant:

1. Worrying all the time
   
2. The hormonal roller coaster
3. Swollen feet, hands, and joints
4. Always having to pee
5. Maternity clothes
6. Food aversions
7. Leg cramps in the middle of the night
8. Constipation
9. Being so large that I can’t bend over or reach for things
10. Stupid comments from random people

Things I am most looking forward to:

1. Meeting my daughter (includes hugging her, kissing her, seeing her little baby fingers and toes, reading to her, smelling her baby smell, dressing her all in pink, and all that other good stuff…)
2. Watching Andrew be a dad
3. Watching my parents be grandparents
4. Three months off from work
5. Finally sharing the responsibility with Andrew
6. Going back on heartburn meds.
7. Being able to bend over
8. Wearing non-maternity clothes
9. Eating sushi and drinking a beer
10. Iced coffee
    

Things I’m least looking forward to:

Nothing. Whatever it takes, it’ll be worth it. Even labor and delivery. Even sleep deprivation. And when it gets too hard, I’ll just call a babysitter. (Warning: If you’re reading this, you are on my list of potential babysitters. Heh! Heh!)
