Last monthly...12 weeks to go

Today was my last monthly doctor's appointment. I had my glucose test and some other blood tests. It was also the last time I'll have blood drawn, baring the results of my glucose test. (If I fail, I'll need further testing.) I told my midwife that a lot had changed for me in the last four weeks. I mean, I’m finally starting to feel pregnant...cankles, sore joints, breathlessness, etc. She kind of chuckled and said, “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” (Oh, no!)

From now on I’ll go to the Dr. every other week, and then in six weeks, I’ll go weekly. Exciting stuff! It seems like a lot of visits, but I'm kind of relieved to be going more often. I mean, there's just so much going on with my body right now and trust me, NONE of it is normal. My midwife said I'd probably be getting sick of seeing her before too long--I doubt it, though. It's also exciting to be going more often because I feel like it's finally the beginning of the end...

I sure can’t wait to meet this little girl!
