Thanks, stranger lady

Usually my commute to work is discouraging and pretty disgusting. (Ahhh...city life.) I'm constantly fending off pushy people, elbows, and bags being slug over shoulders towards my increasingly large belly. I walk ready to defend myselfand my bellyat any given moment. It makes me so angry that people don't respect others, their space, or most importantly, their safety. This morning, however, a nice woman on the T offered me her seat! It was the first time anyone has publicly acknowledged my pregnancy (on the T, at least) and I was tickled pink. (Pun intended. Get it? Pink? Girl?) I didn't need a seat and even declined her offer, but it felt good to know that there are still kind people out there. Not bad for a rainy Monday morning.
